This spacial distribution map of Manila shows the density of the entire population ofthe city. The darker areas represent the areas more dense with people. This could suggest the more urbanised areas. The lighter areas suggest the places less dense with people. The poulation of Manila is
approximately 11.7 million. The population density is 20 081 people/km2. The area of Manila is 1 149 km2. The area where the most people live in Manila is mainly along the coast and building out from it. For instance, in Manila bay the area is completely black, meaning that it is one of the areas where more people enjoy living in. Because the city would probably have started at the coast, people could not build out into the ocean so they started spreading inland.
