In the Future
In the future, Manila could be drastically changed. The rest of the world and western culture can very easily take away from the unique culture of the city. I suspect that, as bad as it sounds, Manila could be easily swayed and conformed to the rest of the world. The other things that may happen would be over-population and the crowds would just get bigger and bigger. This could lead to the Pasig River being extremely polluted, and possibly even fatal to people living on the river's edge.
This is a picture of Norlisk, in Russia. It is one of the most polluted cities inthe world, I fear that this is the future for Manila and many other cities around the world.
